Kodi Kathi Srinu to contest from Amalapuram constituency

J. Srinivasa Rao, popularly known as Kodi Kathi Srinu, will contest the elections from Amalapuram constituency.

Srinivasa Rao became well known to the public after being named as accused and arrested in connection with attacking YCP president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, in the terminal building of Visakhapatnam airport on October 25, 2018. Jagan was the Opposition leader when the attack took place.

Since then he was lodged in the Visakhapatnam Central jail and it was only last month that he was released on bail from the prison.

Srinu joined the Jai Bheem Rao Bharat party. He met party founder-president Jada Sravan Kumar, an advocate by profession, on Monday night.

He asserted that he would fight for the rights and privileges of the downtrodden and less privileged in the society, in the upcoming Assembly elections.
